Christina Allen has faithfully served as PSM’s Education Director for two decades, pouring her heart into students, families, and the neighborhood. She marked her 20th anniversary at PSM on August 5, 2025.

Christina was raised in Kissimmee and moved to Lakeland in 1999 to attend Florida Southern College (“Go Mocs!!” she says). She holds a degree in Pre-K/Primary/Elementary Education, which she has put to work in countless ways as she’s invested in the lives of children and families in the Parker Street neighborhood.

When asked about what brings her joy, Christina shared: “Family dinners and trips to anywhere with my best friend—my husband, Greg.”

If you’re looking for her favorite local spot, Christina recommends Gosh! Asian Bistro & Sushi, where her go-to order is the Volcano Roll. For fun, she enjoys camping, trips to the beach, and naps with her Kindle.

Reflecting on her time at Parker Street Ministries, Christina said: “Through my years at PSM, I have learned the power of stay. In a world that prioritizes change and fast pace, God has been kind to me to allow me to stay in one place—the best place—for so many years. Our neighborhood loves big, and it has been a gift to share in the joys and sorrows, to love and to be so very loved!”

When asked about her favorite PSM memory, Christina didn’t hesitate: “Annual Summer Camp trips to Rock Springs! A childhood favorite memory that I have been able to share with all of my PSM family every summer.” Looking ahead, she says she’s excited for “20 more years!” We couldn’t agree more!

Christina, your dedication and heart for this neighborhood have shaped generations of students and families. We are deeply grateful for your 20 years—and excited for all that’s still to come!

Thanks for learning more about Christina Allen!
