What is The Dwelling?
One way to respond to God’s call to love your neighbors is through support of PSM. That’s why you’ve been given an open invitation to be a part of The Dwelling. Representing a group of likeminded persons bearing witness to God’s continual presence in their lives and motivated by being good neighbors; The Dwelling brings together individuals and organizations committed to PSM’s Gospel-centered community development and is built by monthly donors who understand generous and faithful giving is used by God to change lives.
For more than two decades, PSM has been committed to this Gospel-centered community development model in an impoverished, high crime neighborhood in Lakeland consisting of more than 600 addresses. The Parker Street neighborhood is majority-populated by people of color, many of whom suffer under bonds of generational poverty. Stabilization opportunities are provided by PSM in education, financial sustainability, health/wellness, workforce development, spiritual formation, and neighborhood revitalization. Most services offered by PSM are delivered through an after-school program and summer camp, providing year-round academic enrichment for more than 100 students in grades K-12.

How You Can Help
With the finalization of a new long-range plan (2023-27), we’re looking for the equivalent of 44 new monthly partners in Phase 2 to enter The Dwelling by giving $100/month. Can’t give $100? Seek the Lord’s wisdom and support as you’re led. Already giving monthly? Consider increasing your monthly total. No matter the amount, this influx in monthly cash flow will help sustain PSM as a safe place for neighborhood residents to thrive—where they are cared for, prayed over, and loved.
