Welcome, Jessica Hernandez, PSM’s newest Board of Trustees member!

Jessica works in the Real Estate Strategy Department for Publix and has lived in Polk County for the past 15 years after moving from northern Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southeastern University. This year, Jessica and her husband celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary, and they are raising two wonderful children together.

Jessica shared she is “excited about the opportunity to join the board and become more involved with Parker Street Ministries,” especially as she reflects on how God has used her professional background in unexpected ways. After her property management career ended in 2020 during COVID, she spent a long time viewing that chapter as “wasted.” Over time, however, her perspective changed as she realized “God was preparing me all along,” and the experience she thought she had left behind is now being used “for His glory.”

The timing of this opportunity also felt deeply meaningful. Shortly before being invited to join the board, Jessica heard a message at Access Church about being part of something bigger than herself. That message challenged her to pray that God would use her however He saw fit, making this invitation feel “unmistakably intentional.”

As she steps into this role on PSM’s Board of Trustees, Jessica is hopeful and expectant, sharing she is “excited to see what God will do” and desires to “honor Him by serving faithfully and doing my best.”

Welcome, Jessica!
