Meet Janee’ Jackson-Barnett—Parker Street Ministries’ new Young Adult Program Assistant Director!

Janee’ is originally from Orlando but has called Lakeland home for the past 15 years after moving here to attend Southeastern University. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Elementary Education and earned her doctorate in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership in 2025. Janee’ has worked in education since she was 17, beginning as a preschool teacher and spending the past 11 years as a 4th grade teacher with Polk County Public Schools.

She is also no stranger to PSM! Janee’ has been part of the PSM family for the past 14 years, working with students across grades 1-8. In her new role, Janee’ is most looking forward to building lifelong relationships with students and seeing young people discover who they are in light of God’s Word.

Outside of PSM, Janee’ loves spending time with her husband and their 3-year-old son, Samuel. Mommy-and-son dates are a favorite, along with Legos, exercising, and reading Christian thrillers—especially books by Terri Blackstock and Lynette Eason. Her life verse is Ephesians 4:1: “I therefore, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.”

Thanks for learning more about Janee’ Jackson-Barnett!
