“My second week at PSM, I was working with a six-year-old. He told me that I was pretty and asked if I was married. I told him that I was. He then asked me if I baked cookies and I told him that I love to bake cookies. He then asked me to marry him. I tried to explain to him that I was already married and I could not marry him. He then asked me if I could bake him cookies. He made me laugh and touched my heart. Yes, we did get homework done as well.”
Lori had been looking for an opportunity to volunteer when her kids moved out of the house. When she’s not volunteering, Lori works at Harrell’s, has two grandchildren, bakes, cooks, and is teaching her grandchild how to ride a bike and do their “exercises” around Lake Mirror or Lake Hollingsworth.
