Meet Ashleigh Sanchez: Academic Enrichment Program K-8 Assistant Director!

Originally from a small town in Virginia, Ashleigh has called Lakeland home for the past seven years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work and criminal justice as well as a master’s in social work—a passion that first led her to work in higher education before stepping back into the world of PSM.

Before her current role, Ashleigh spent three years as a classroom leader right here at PSM, primarily with 2nd and 3rd graders, while also serving as a floater. Now, she looks forward to building relationships and seeing God move through the community in even greater ways.

When she’s not at PSM, Ashleigh enjoys reading, crafting, thrifting, and gardening. If she’s grabbing a bite to eat, you’ll likely find her at Tapatio’s, ordering her go-to favorites: queso fundido and mixed fajitas.

One thing that always brings Ashleigh joy? Hearing her daughter laugh. Her favorite Bible passage, Psalm 23, is one she returns to often: “I always go back to it throughout my day, remembering God is always there and will provide what we need.”

Thanks for learning more about Ashleigh Sanchez!
